Listen "Make Better Decisions and Have Fewer Regrets"
Episode Synopsis
I often grappled with non-programmed decisions in my early leadership tenure, leading to numerous regrets. However, in 2019, my perspective shifted when Dr. George Marakas, my dissertation chair, guided me toward data-driven decision-making. He taught me to challenge confirmation biases, dissect problems thoroughly, and understand them from various viewpoints. With time, practice, and reflection, my intuition became rooted in this analytical approach, transforming me into a more confident decision-maker. In this episode, I illustrate some of his teachings to underscore the importance of well-informed, practiced decision-making in reducing regrets and enhancing management abilities.
