Episode Synopsis

When I reflect on this paragraph, I hear Cardinal Sarah express the great gift of the Eucharist. I immediately thought about the video “The Veil Removed”. If you have not watched it, I encourage you to do so. I see Jesus on the altar reciting the Words of Consecration as He offers Himself to us in the form of bread and wine, notice the drop of blood that falls into the chalice from the cross. In today’s gospel Mt 4 it says, “One does not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God”. The Blessed Sacrament nourishes our body and it became the food that feeds our soul so we could live with Him forever. Mary at the foot of the altar fills my heart even more each time I watch the video. Mary encourages us, begs us to come with her. To come to the foot of the Cross, the Cross of Salvation, where her Son died for us. She prays that we can be as close to Him as she is, in love and self-sacrifice. Cardinal Sarah emphasizes that it is “necessary to plant our life firmly on three great realities: the Cross, the Host, and the Virgin."
