Seems like we have this disordered desire to be heard which is often vanity and the disordered desire to comment on the actions/words of others which often brings no value to the situation - in fact, it lessens instead of increasing. Imagine prayer time where we do all the talking where we are asking God to conform things to our will. I have certainly been guilty of this in the past. More listening to God in silence changes our conversation with Him to something that is fruitful.
