24-year-old CEO of RescAlert, Jakob Carmichael, just reminded me why age is irrelevant when you’ve found your purpose — he’s built an AI emergency response platform while many of us are still overthinking our next move. What struck me wasn’t his success, but his clarity. He saw Hurricane Harvey responders wasting resources because their systems couldn’t communicate, so he locked himself in his room and built a solution. Sometimes, the youngest voices carry the biggest wisdom, and the question isn’t whether you’re experienced enough to start, but whether you’re brave enough to begin with whatever problem you’re uniquely positioned to solve.
