The Lakers get the first dub of the new season against the clippers, although this is just a preseason game, it's always great to see them win.
Some notable stats, Kyle Kuzma finished the game with 18 points, Talen Horton-Tucker led the team with 19 points, Montrezl Harrell got his first double double with 12 rebounds, 13 points and finally Dennis Schroder with 10 points.
The highlight of the game for me was Harrell as he looked really comfortable in the laker line up and uniform. Putting on a show against his old team.
A storyline to pay attention to:
we got an article from silver screen and roll titled, The Lakers are ready for Kyle Kuzma’s moment. Is he?, in which they question if Kuzma's ceiling is still higher than what we have seen in his first years in the NBA. He is being regarded as a better than average defender against small guards due to his ability to alter their shot with his length. He has also shown his strength in catch and shoot situations. But what about his on ball perimeter defense and dribbling the ball to create his own shots? are those weaknesses going to ultimately stop him from being that 3rd laker player we expected him to be after lebron and AD?
