Listen "Perfected Together: Faith, Endurance, and the Joy Set Before Us"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, Dr. Jack Farmer brings the Faith Hall of Fame in Hebrews 11 to its climactic close with a New Covenant reflection on Hebrews 11:39–12:2. Though the great saints of old were commended for their faith, they did not receive the promise apart from us—for Christ had not yet come. Now, through Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, both they and we are made complete. As we are surrounded by their testimonies, we are urged to run our race with endurance, looking to Jesus who endured the cross for the joy set before Him. This episode reminds us that faith that pleases God is always Christ-centered and forward-moving. In our Second Pour, we celebrate the birthdays of alumni Sarah Scott and Starr Russell and invite everyone to the Back-to-School Festival on August 16.
