Listen "Faith in the Window: God’s Hidden Hand of Protection"
Episode Synopsis
In this week’s Coffee with the Superintendent, Dr. Jack Farmer begins with The First Pour, drawing from 1 Samuel 19:11–17 where David narrowly escapes Saul’s rage through the courageous actions of his wife, Michal. From a New Covenant perspective, listeners are reminded that God’s faithfulness works even through flawed people and imperfect circumstances. The story’s deeper meaning unfolds as a picture of how God preserves His anointed and ultimately fulfills His promises through Jesus. The devotion helps students and families see that what begins as a desperate escape points to the greater deliverance found in the Son of David—our eternal King who conquers death, not by running from it, but by overcoming it.
In The Second Pour, we catch up on a long list of birthdays, from our preschoolers all the way to our alumni! We also extend a heartfelt Berean welcome to the ACSI Accreditation Team, thanking them for their partnership and encouragement as they visit our campus. And of course, everyone’s favorite part of the day—today’s lunch menu features classic chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese, a perfect comfort meal for a busy week.
Together, both segments remind us that whether we are celebrating, serving, or studying, God’s providence and presence are always at work in the ordinary and the extraordinary.
