Episode Synopsis

The Loch Ness Monster is an aquatic creature reportedly inhabiting Scotland's Loch Ness, first brought to the world's attention in 1933. “Nessie,” as locals call it, believe it might be a Jurassic-era reptile like a Plesiosaur, a giant fish or even an eel. Several eyewitness accounts describe the creature as 20 to 30 feet long with the flippers of a dolphin and a long neck with a small head. Researchers who analyzed DNA samples from the icy waters of the Scottish lake identified about 3,000 different species, but the results ruled out the presence of large animals such as dinosaurs. Not only has Nessie been spotted in the lake, but some have reported seeing the creature walking on land, as far back as the 1800’s. The first account of an encounter dates back to the 7th century and continue to this day. What exactly is the Loch Ness Monster?
