Episode Synopsis

The COVID-19 Stress and Health Study is a research study being carried out by the University of Nottingham and Kings College London exploring the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the emotional and physical health of adults in the UK. The research team are keen to capture the effects of front-line workers within health and social care as well as the wider public.
Taking part is simple and involves two short (10 minute) online surveys: completed when participants sign-up and then again in 12 weeks time. Participants are also asked to take two small hair samples (at the same time points) to enable the measurement of the stress biomarker cortisol. More details about the study, including a link to the survey can be found at covidstressstudy.co.uk. Recruitment is open now until the end of April 2020, to allow researchers to capture the early effects of the pandemic.
If you are interested in taking part please visit our website covidstressstudy.co.uk. If you know others who may be interested please feel free to share details of the study with them, as we are hoping to get as many responses as possible.
If you have any questions about the study you can contact the team at [email protected].
