Today, we begin a 4 part series explaining God through the lens of a dog trainer, but this time, our focus will be on the animal welfare world. Just as we Rescue, Adopt and Rehab our beloved dogs, so does God do with us. So as we start off this series, what do we need rescued from? We suggest perhaps it's an emotion that has you steamrolled. Or maybe it's a situation leaving you feeling helpless. Could it be your past and the shame or pain is crippling?As I share a personal story of pain in my life, I openly admit to having 2 fears immediately after admitting I need rescued. 1) Does God actually have the power to rescue me? 2) If He does have the power, does He loves me enough to rescue me? The bible says God is close to the broken hearted and SAVES those who are crushed in spirit. Is God asking for you to surrender and respect just how powerful and worthy He is to rescue you?
