This week exposed yet again how smart people say really silly things because of their obsession with Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump and any hint of a scandal that could take them down. As usual, we were taken to the heights of pleasure with talk of clear war crimes, but then left unsatisfied with a pivot back to signal gate.
