Waste Management Educator and Consultant Sian Cuffy-Young is on a mission to change the way we think and act towards waste. Waste has value and by diverting much of it away from landfills we are able to not only harness this resource but also mitigate damage to the environmental from improper waste disposal. Sian promotes the philosophy of the 6 Rs of the waste hierarchy: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Repurpose, and Recycle. By adopting this philosophy of sustainable Waste Management we become waste efficient, ultimately reducing our carbon footprint.
