It's that time of the week for another episode for The Chronicle, official podcast for The Peoples Movies. This week's episode we have two reviews with acclaimed arthouse drama Past Lives and horror The Nun II.
First review is Celine Song's critically acclaimed arthouse drama, Past Lives. The film has been garning great reviews since it's breakout world premiere at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The film stars Greta Lee and Teo Yeo who play star crossed lovers Nora and Hae-Sung who we meet as kids in Seoul, South Korea. Nora's family emigrates to Toronto, Canada only for the pair to reunite this time over skype with Nora now in New York City. After another 12 year split they reunite with Hae-sung coming to visit her in New York. This time she won't be alone she will have her husband Arthur (John Magaro).
the final review takes us back to The Conjuring universe and the horror The Nun II. Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) takes on the demoinc malevolence that's Valak who is terrorising priests and nuns in France. What does it want? All paths lead to a French all girls boarding school and a very familiar face to Irene.
