U.S. beef is selling at near record prices but is likely capped without access to China, which is the No. 1 importer of beef globally, reports Tyler Cozzens of the Livestock Marketing Information Center. Speaking at the Range Beef Cow Symposium in Cheyenne, Wyo., on Nov. 10, Cozzens gave an overview of the global beef market. U.S. beef trade with China is down 37 percent this year because of geopolitical conditions and a slowing economy there.
