Recently, there were two developments in the spread of the New World Screwworm in Mexico. First, a new case was confirmed in the northern state of Nuevo León, Mexico, about 120 miles from the Texas border on Dec. 2. The animal was part of a group of cattle being taken from southern Mexico to a feedlot in Nuevo León.
