This fortnight's podcast is with the Maui whizz kid, Kane De Wilde. We got into Kane's recent trip to Tarifa wing foil racing and what he learnt from that. Then we dove head first into wing foil down winding and SUP downwind foiling going into foils, board designs and lines to take when up and gliding down the coast. We then shifted into some surf foil chat, comparing high aspect to low aspect foils and and attacking white water. A bit of gear chat going into paddle and mast length, stiffness and thickness and the pros and cons for each. Finally we finished up discussing wing foiling in big waves and some tips for the punters out there giving downwind foiling a crack.
