Singer-songwriter, massage therapist, doctoral student of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and now farmer —Megan Kim Richofsky, aka Righteous Sistah, uprooted her life from the redwood-rich Santa Cruz mountains to connect to her roots inland in California’s Central Valley where her family purchased their first plot of land as immigrants from South Korea 43 years ago.With problem solving in her nature and the land at risk of being sold, Megan spent her downtime during the Covid pandemic researching the most sustainable farming methods possible. Now implementing regenerative and soon aquaponic farming practices, she is excited to share her findings and empower and encourage others to farm more sustainably with nature.
