Listen "Were Bayern Missing Too Many Pieces?"
Episode Synopsis
As we see the return of the Bundesliga, many have been met with complete and utter shock to see the defending champions, Bayern Munich, start off their year with a defeat to 12th placed Gladbach. Although Bayern is currently experiencing a breakout of COVID, which sees them having a somewhat depleted roster, a star-studded lineup was still the order of the day. Although Gladbach were clearly dominated, luck was on their side as Stefan Lainer struck Gladbach in front in the 31st minute. A strong defensive effort was shown by the away side in the second half, seeing that match out 2-1.
