Send a Text - Feedback WelcomeThis podcast is a solar podcast, exposing the opportunities and challenges associated with a significant roll-out of solar generation capacity across the UK. One of the key challenges in any rapid expansion of work is to ensure that the supply chain is up to the job. Supply chains can become stressed when there is insufficient product or people to design and install the new generation once it has bee procured.Dave Tattershall is the Chairman of the UK’s largest solar racking manufacturer and he is also the joint chair of the industry’s steering group that is charged with delivering the recommendations within the Solar Road Map, which was the product of the Solar Taskforce. He talks about the ability of UK supply chains to scale up to meet this demand and the continued reliance on the far eastern manufacturers of solar panels, inverters and batteries. Dave also talks about the innovation within the solar sector and the knowledge to innovate to meet the target of 55GW by the end of this decade.Listen to understand the opportunities for the sector.
