Is depravity partial as the Arminian says or total as the Calvinist says? What saith scripture?
Sin permeates all of man meaning sin affects man's will, heart, conscience, memory etc so in this sense it is total. Total depravity doesn't mean man is as bad as he can be. I forgot to explain this. Man can be much worse than he is but it is the restraining hand of God that keeps man from becoming worse than he is by nature.
