Episode Synopsis

For this week's episode, I had Ivan to talk about the Ukrainian point of view. We start the episode talking about misconceptions about Ukraine, its culture and food, Ukraine beyond the war. Then, we talk about the relationship Ukraine has with Russia and how the current war results from a lot of events over the last 10 years.
We also talk about how is current life in the country, personal experience with recent events, and tips on visiting Ukraine (after the war is over).
During the recording of this episode, we had to pause for a moment, because where Ivan is the sirens went off warning people to hide in shelters, which according to him, happens 2 or 3 times daily. It was and is a very scary ongoing situation, but at the same time, portrays the current reality of Ukrainian people.
