We live in a world that’s all about awareness. It seems we’re told that if only we could learn more about the plight of every person, disease, race, orientation, or catastrophe, the world would be a better place. But does knowledge alone fix anything? The goal for awareness should be to move people towards true action. But what does action beyond awareness look like? We also caution that when awareness is done really wrong, it simply leads to harm and division.


This conversation is, ironically, about raising ”awareness” about the possible pitfalls of awareness done wrong. Our hope is to also lay some groundwork for going beyond just ”awareness” to true action about the things you are passionate about.
