Episode Synopsis

Look at me posting two reviews in one episode! These books are due back to the library today and I have no other segments ready so it's all about books this episode. The Emperor's General, by James Webb, is a war novel about fictional character Jay Marsh, who is privy to the real Douglas MacArthur. Before reading this book I knew very little of The General but I plan to as I pick up WWII books. I also read No Place to Hide, by Lee Warren, MD. This journals a brain surgeon's experience in Iraq. It is a book about faith, and chronicles Lee's personal struggles as he deals with trauma constantly in a war zone.
