Episode Synopsis
If you’ve been trying unsuccessfully to lose weight and keep it off, then these next three episodes are for you.
The most important thing you need to understand is that permanent weight loss is NOT about diet and exercise.
The truth is any diet will help you to lose weight. However, diets won’t teach you how to keep the weight off. Permanent weight loss is really very simple, if you understand the process.
First, you must learn how to recruit your brain to change your biology.
You see, a habit is a very well-constructed neurological pathway in the brain. Therefore, to change your habits, you can’t rely on willpower. Instead, you must learn how to reprogram your brain.
Secondly, get rid of all the unnecessary suffering you do around weight loss. You know, all the times you beat yourself up because you can’t follow your restrictive plan. This only drives you to eat more, and thereby, gain more weight.
Next, learn to eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’ve had enough. We did this as babies. When a baby is hungry, she cries. When she’s had enough, she spits the bottle out. We need to relearn when to eat and when to stop.
