Episode Synopsis

Buckle up y’all.   In this episode of the Beauty in Between podcast, we were honored to welcome Dr. Andrea Holman, a trained counseling psychologist and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging senior manager at Lyra Health.   Our conversation starts out with establishing a shared foundation of understanding what mental health is. Then, we delve into the complexities and intersectionalities of mental health, resilience, our faith, and holistic well-being. Dr. Holman emphasizes the importance of understanding mental health as a spectrum, the need for honest conversations within church communities, and even the significance of fostering secure attachments not only with folks around us, but to our God as well.   This episode was fun and incredibly edifying for us, and we hope it will be for you too in learning to navigate living an authentic, whole life!
