We were honored to be joined this week by South Carolina State Representative Gary Simrill. He gives great insight into his 30-year political career, from creating consensus across party lines to representing making the boiled peanut South Carolina's state snack.   
Mr. Simrill has been Rock Hill's representative from District 46 since 1992. He has served as Chair of the Ways and Means Committee and as Majority Leader of the S.C. House during his tenure. He is stepping down this year to work with Winthrop University.
