Listen "BFT Show: Bill Rabinowitz, Jon Wilner"
Episode Synopsis
John Canzano is in talking about the NCAA tournament making the correct decision to not expand the tournament next season, but Canzano wonders if it inevitable that tv is going to ruin college athletics. Canzano says that it could be where UCLA and USC knew back in 2019 that they were going to move to the Big Ten, and it is all the tv networks work. Are we in a sports world ran by ESPN and Fox? Bill Rabinowitz of the Columbus Dispatch joins the show to discuss Ohio State football and what to expect from the defending national champions. Rabinowitz talks about the season that Ohio State had last season and the ups and downs throughout their championship season. Rabinowitz talks about how good wide receiver Jeremiah Smith can be and what he is going to look like this season. Ohio State has to replace both of its coordinators, and Rabinowitz talks about how Brian Hartline is going to replace Chip Kelly and the difficulty that will be. San Jose Mercury News' Jon Wilner joins the program to discuss college football. Wilner and Canzano talk about the preseason coaches' poll and if it matters. Wilner says that it does matter because when you look at the CFP rankings, it looks a lot like the AP poll that came out the day before. Wilner talks about Oregon mattering in the CFP world. Wilner says the Ducks are all in to compete with Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State on a year-in-year-out basis. Wilner thinks that the NCAA tournament will expand in the upcoming years. Punch it audio, the 5 at 5, and much more!
