We spoke with Kevin about equality & diversification in film and television and Hattie McDaniel's moment in the spotlight for her role as mammy in the Big Screen Oscar Winning and acclaimed Movie, "Gone with the Wind" and how Hattie fought for her rights to be seeing and valued as an equal in Hollywood for her talent vs being hidden from Hollywoods biggest and mot glamorous award show for the color of her skin.
Hattie won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, becoming the first African American to win an Oscar.
