In 2009, April Pointer of Young Living started out like most people in Network Marketing: as a customer using the products. This busy stay-at-home mom, who was also homeschooling her two kids, was not interested in building the business. But in 4 months of teaching classes at the request of friends, she “accidentally” met the 4th rank (out of 10) in the company, and when she hit rank 6, she stopped treating it as a hobby.
 
Enrolling 30–40 people a year for the first four years allowed geometric progression to really take off, and today April Pointer has 1 million members on her team! This has been a huge blessing for April, who was born with a birth defect and has had 4 dozen surgeries in her life.
