Episode Synopsis
Chrissie Pinney is the director of operations at Hana Koa Brewing Co., and she was previously in sales at Ballast Point Brewing. Hana Koa is 10,000 square feet, half of it is the brewing facility and the other half is the kitchen and dining area. Her and her husband, Josh Kopp moved from California to open Hana Koa as he is the head brewer for the company. The idea to build the brewery initially started as a joke after Josh’s father bought the Kakaako warehouse space. Since their opening in 2019, they serve exclusive brews, including IPA, stout and blonde varietes, and also wine and food on their menu.
