Episode Synopsis
THE BOOK OF PASSIONS III by Apostle Ezzie White CHAPTER Thirteen The earth is filled with violence and there is no place, where peace can be found. The people are mad without reason, everyman hateth his brother without a cause. 2 The soul is sick and doeth disturb the whole head. They are children abused by their father, therefore abuse they one another. 3 Get thee up into the mountain, ye who are called unto righteousness. There is no friend among the ungodly, for thou art likened unto sheep among wolves ready to be devoured. 4 How trust ye the children whose father thou art warned of God, are not they and their father made one by the selfsame spirit? 5 Awake thou and get thee understanding. Reason ye with that which stands ready to benefit your soul. 6 Doeth the Lord take pleasure to speak unto thee vain words? Doeth he not take care for thy soul above all others, even above thine own self. 7 If thou should have an addiction for the things of the world, is it not a curse against thee? 8 Are thou not able to understand the power by which thou art influenced, that its strength has to be broken in order for thee to gain thou sight? 9 For the Lord is a strong warrior, a champion of the captives and strength for the weak. For he speaketh words of truth and chains are broken. 10 He goeth about as lighting to minister unto the hearts that seeketh knowledge and crieth after righteousness. 11 The hearts of men are as darkened caves, out of which they cannot find the light. 12 For they no more haves eyes with which to see, therefore darkness is become their familiar way. 13 The Lord is most merciful he will restore unto them their sight. For as many as shall feel after him, unto them shall he be revealed. 14 The time now is hard against the soul, for much vanity doeth bear down upon it. 15 The people are without desire of being separated unto righteousness, their hearts long for the things that do lead them away from God. 16 Many idols have they erected in their hearts, and all the day long they bow themselves down unto gods by which their souls cannot be saved. 17 For the children of God are not likened unto these. By love, they honor with their lives, the father; for his light doeth shine within their hearts to the glory of his Holy Name. 18 The people walketh about with a proud heart. They declare themselves wise to have committed unto chasing the wind, and with much ado they counsel among themselves to follow in the direction of which it doeth blow. 19 None giveth an ear to truth, the sound of which doeth not excite their hearts. 20 Peace waiteth for the soul that loveth the Lord: the soul that is made glad by his righteousness.
