Episode Synopsis
THE BOOK OF PASSIONS I by Apostle Ezzie White CHAPTER ONE Why have the people not obeyed my voice? Is it not because they refuse to hear my word? For their hearts are situated in evil, and the words from their mouths are words of hypocrisy. 2 They call upon my name, not for mercy, but for the carnal desires of their evil hearts. For such prayers I will not hear, and the offerings from such a people will I not receive. 3 They disdain those that I have chosen to worship me in righteous. As vultures, they wait and long for the fall of my people. They are ever ready to swiftly fly and feast upon those of whom my heart loveth. 4 Let it be known throughout the world that their intent shall not come to pass, and their desire shall come about upon their own heads. 5 For I am the strength of those I have chosen, the rock upon which they stand. They shall neither fall nor be removed. For I delight in righteousness, therefore their sins and iniquities have been covered. 6 I am despised among men. My way is not one of which they desire. Therefore say unto such rebellious people, for behold the day soon cometh in which I shall be glorified by your fear, your terror I shall mock and your hearts shall find no strength. 7 Your strong men shall be noticeably weak and those credited with wisdom shall display gross confusion. 8 For I shall perform all my pleasures upon the people who are not call by my name, because they have declared in their hearts that I am not their God. 9 Their loud and pompous laughter has come unto mine ears therefore I say unto you that do fear my name for the time has come in which I shall begin the great destruction of the world. 10 The signs that have begun to unfold shall not be reversed for they are the fulfillment of my word. The day has arrived of which there have been many warnings, even from the days of old. 11 It is the day in which men hearts shall fail them for fear. Look unto the heavens for they are giving testimony unto the words of my mouth. 12 Look unto the waters and witness the restlessness of the waves, and to the lighting at the quickness of my performance. 13 The whole of creation is moving at my having risen up with a destructive intent. Woe unto men crieth the spirit from heaven, for the day of the Lordʼs wrath is neigh unto you. 14 Who, at such a cry, will men hear; and unto the words of whom will they take heed? Is it not to the words of their own mouths that they have lend their ears, 15 words by which they desire the assurance of safety, that have proceeded from their own hearts, by which they have been terribly deceived. 16 Do they not know that their words are as clouds without rain? For they speak and there is no performance. They command and nothing is shaken. 17 For the wind take hold of their words and swiftly blow them away; from their mouths, they disappear beneath the sun, as doth the morning dew. 18 How shall this people trust to stand in the brightness of my judgment, for their hearts are dark with evil and they refuse entry the light of my salvation. 19 Nevertheless, I speak words of comfort unto you that fear my name, that have allowed my words to be a light about your feet and a lamp unto your paths. 20 I say unto you, fear not and be not afraid for I am the lord and well know them that are mine. 21 I have had much delight in your sacrifices and offerings that you have offered in righteousness. Your sufferings have not gone unnoticed. 22 Mine eyes have guided you along your course, and I have always moved ahead and awaited you at the end of all your test and trials, to refresh you in love. 23 For you are mine; and I have promised never to leave nor forsake you. A promise that was declared with love of heart toward you, and I shall never change. 24 Therefore, stand still, oh my people for my wrath is not against you, but against those that hate and despise you for my namesake. 25 Let not your hearts be trouble for I am ever accurate in directing my wrath. Let not your eyes pity those who have chose to war against the wisdom of the living God. 26 For they have declared themselves to be victors and do boast because of the fiery and destructive invention by their feeble hands, for the combined arsenals of the nations are before me as a small pebble shriving at the foot of an exceeding great and huge mountain. 27 With the sound of the trumpet and great fanfare, they march off to war and fight among themselves. Will they be so foolish as to think to do the same against me? 28 Do they not know that at the sound of my voice they are no more among the living but the dead? 29 Be still oh my people and quiet your hearts for I shall cover your eyes with my left hand while I bring destruction upon the ungodly with my right. 30 I will not allow your hearts to be troubled or your peace disturbed from the cry of the destruction of your enemies. 31 For I will sooth you with that which is bestowed in my soul, even the sweet and pleasant psalms of David. 32 You shall hear the glorious joy of the angels in giving praise unto the name of the Lord, for it is most holy. 33 You, by the spirit, shall join the chorus of praise unto God, therefore, be at peace among yourselves, within your hearts, for I am ever watching over thee for good. 34 I delight in safely bringing you into my everlasting presence. For I am the rest, that was spoken of from the foundation of the world the rest into which you have already entered.
