If you approach unto God for salvation with anything other than faith you will be approaching him with an expectation of receiving a reward for some type work performance, but man can’t perform any type righteousness without the spirit of Christ, that God will acknowledge. It needs to be understood that the natural man cannot earn anything from God other than death. If at all God receive anything from man it has to be the new man in Christ Jesus, which makes the righteousness to be that of Christ and not the individual’s. Some preachers preach that if one doesn’t speak in tongues then they can't be counted as become saved. Well, such doctrine is not supported by the spirit of the grace of God, which makes it to be false doctrine plan and simple.
