Listen "How to Handle a Bad Review | Podcast for Realtors"
Episode Synopsis
Receiving a bad review can be tough. As realtors, we work hard to provide the best service to all our clients. So when a bad review comes in, it can leave us confused and hurt.
Here are some steps you can take to handle a bad review:
Don't take it personally & assess the review:
Avoid panicking. Before you jump to conclusions, take a deeper look at the review. Is it real? Is there any truth behind it? Sometimes, it's even done by mistake! Try not to take the review personally and instead focus on how you can address the issues raised.
Respond promptly and professionally:
It's important to respond to the review in a timely and professional manner. Acknowledge the reviewer's concerns and try to mend any negative experience they may have had. Offer to discuss the issue further and provide a way for them to contact you directly.
Use the feedback to improve:
Take the review as an opportunity to improve your services. Look for common themes in negative reviews and see if there are any changes you can make to prevent similar issues in the future.
Encourage positive reviews:
Encourage your satisfied clients to leave positive reviews. This can help to offset any negative reviews and show potential clients that you are committed to providing excellent service. However, avoid fabricating fake reviews as well. Though it may feel that you're helping, often times fake reviews are easy to spot and may undermine the value of the real ones.
Monitor your online reputation:
Keep an eye on your online reputation and respond to any negative reviews promptly. This can help to prevent any further damage to your reputation.
REMEMBER! Handling a bad review professionally can demonstrate your commitment to customer service and improve your reputation in the long run.
