In this podcast, the Accord Team, Rebecca and Naomi, talk about the importance of telling the truth and being honest. Being truthful is something that will always bring us closer to God and to His people, and honesty is a gift that we can give to others. There are many reasons why we don't tell the truth and this can include issues of pride or fear, but we have to be able to have honest dialogue with ourselves about what prevents us from telling the truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and being honest and telling the truth has to be the culture that we adopt within our lives. When we are not honest, we can deceive ourselves and others about what the truth really is, and that can create a whole mess that we have to live within. But we can always choose to walk in that position of truth and honesty, because there is never punishment for being honest, only reward!
