There are many reasons why we rely on ourselves and our own limited understandings and beliefs, but whatever the reason, it is all rooted in one thing, our own foolishness. The problem with foolishness is that it is a rolling stone that loves to gather the moss. One act of foolishness breeds other acts of foolishness, and we seem to find this almost supernatural power that won't give it up because we like to stick to our guns. Foolishness is the quality of being unwise, it is not showing good sense or judgement and it is a form of stupidity. Folly is the act of foolishness, it is the circumstances and it is the state of what our foolishness produces. The good news is, He can get us out of that, He can save us from ourselves but we are going to have to quit our fooling around, give up our self reliance, and turn from our foolish ways, THEN God will do it, and abundant life can begin.
