In this podcast, the Accord Team, Rebecca and Naomi, talk about back sliding. Back sliding is often used as a description for those who went back to their old life before Christ, and we often hear a silent judgement in their choice to not push on into the things of Christ. We somehow see the backslider as making a choice to no longer follow Christ, and we operate even in the unwritten religious ritual of 'shunning'. Backsliders are not just outside the Church, they are within as well trying to operate in the goodness and the correctness of God. There are those who desperately want to change and become stable, and there are those who want to play a game because it serves them well to be in Christ, but their heart desires other things as well, and they feel the pressure of trying to serve two masters.
