Listen "What do we dread?"
Episode Synopsis
Good morning!
Here is today's communion meditation.
Lately I've been thinking about a verse in Isaiah 8:12-13.
“Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread."
In my book "Make Today a Masterpiece," I discuss the importance of paying attention to the things we are dreading, because it can give us clues to when our focus is off. In many cases when we are dreading something in the day it's usually because we forgot that the Master is with us, He loves us, and nothing is impossible for him.
But this verse says, God is to be the one we dread. The Hebrew word for dread can mean tremble or stand in awe of.
When we dread something, it usually causes us to procrastinate because we stand in awe of the problem. But we can change our focus to standing in awe of Him. To fear and dread him is to have honor, respect, and awe for him.
In todays communion we are asking God to help us have the correct kind of dread... the dread and awe of him.
Today's Health and Fitness Tip
If you are dreading your workouts, it's a sign that your focus is off or your not taking a gentle approach.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
P.S. Remember the Master is with you, he loves you, and nothing is impossible for him.
