Listen "3 Part Being"
Episode Synopsis
This month our challenge is to connect on a new level... With God, our purpose, our loved ones, and community.
Over the last week we have been prioritizing connecting with God. Tonight at 7pm EST on our live zoom in the Connection Challenge we are going to discuss how we are a 3 part being... Spirit, soul, and physical body, and how these three are meant to be connected and function as one.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I think of our spirit as the inner core of us or the inner person of the heart and our soul being our mind and emotions. The soul is the connector between the spirit and the body. Renewing our mind and learning to rest in our soul can be one of the greatest ways we create a bridge that allows all of the good things God has put in our spirit to flow through us.
In today's communion we are asking God to help us understand how we are a 3 part being and how the 3 parts are meant to function as one.
Today's Health/Fitness Tip
In our physical exercise breathing is a connector. Coordinating our movement and breathing helps to unite our entire spirit, soul, and body during exercise. Inhale through the nose during the recovery part of movements and exhale through the mouth through the exertion.
I am praying for you.
Daniel
