Listen "An Honest Conversation About Biblical Femininity with Mary Mohler "
Episode Synopsis
In this week’s episode of The About Her Podcast, I am honored to share my recent conversation with Mary Mohler. Mary currently serves in ministry as the President's Wife at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She is the founder and director of The Seminary Wives Institute, an academic program that seeks to educate and equip Seminary wives at both Southern Seminary and Boyce College.
Mary is the author of Growing in Gratitude: Rediscovering the Joy of a Thankful Heart, and has been published at The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, The Gospel Coalition, Desiring God, and more. Mary and her husband Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr. will soon celebrate their 39th Wedding Anniversary in July, and together they have two children. She is also a very proud grandmother. Despite these impressive achievements, you will find that Mary’s preferred title is, “Follower of Christ” and that her primary aim is to serve the Lord with thankfulness and joy.
In today’s conversation, Mary and I chatted about Biblical femininity. Together, we seek to determine what it means to embrace femininity in our modern day, debunked myths and misconceptions surrounding femininity, and consider the impact of the Feminist movement upon our understanding of biblical womanhood. Mary rightly reminds us that we must not seek to define our womanhood according to cultural standards, but instead according to the Word of God.
