Listen "The 301 S2:E6"
Episode Synopsis
We are excited about this episode. First we talk to Shar Farran, handler of Adeena the Comfort Dog through Lutheran Church Charities. Adeena is a regular at CHS during lunch hours and also has traveled extensively to help comfort those in need. Our second segment takes us to Country Trails Grade School where we chat with third grader Maiyah Kee and her father Reggie Kee about her endeavors to become a published author. Her book The Colorblind Justice League was written and illustrated by this bright young lady! And lastly we sit down with Dr. Melissa Leisner, ELA teacher at Prairie Knolls Middle School to talk about an author visit she arranged for her students. The students read a verse book by Jasmine Warga, and the author visit added an extra dimension for our students in learning about empathy. Thanks for listening!
