My friend of 10+ years, Daniel Chavez, is a veteran of the Texas Highway Patrol and Secret Service. He currently works for a private security firm in New York City. 
We talk about his time in both of these organizations and a little bit about his new job. We also get into our time in Houston while I attended medical school, fatherhood, the time I save his life, and our shared love of morphine when experiencing excruciating pain. 

I wrote Daniel a thank you note for his years of service to his community and our country as well as being a great friend.
