Por: Teng
Teng began his Dj journey in mid-1990s Sydney Australia.

His collection of records is a rich blend of many influences, with each selection reflecting his keen ear and diverse taste. Over the years, his name has gained recognition, capturing the attention of the regions he has been immersed in.

As a resident DJ at Plastic on bustling Oxford Street in Sydney. Teng showcased his talent each month, weaving together broken beat sets fused with 4-to-the-floor progressive and rave. His skill did not go unnoticed; he was invited to perform at other notable venues like Beat-fix Sublime, where the intimacy of smaller spaces allowed for a deeper bond with the audience.

Yet, Teng is equally comfortable in larger settings. He has thrived at prominent raves such as Utopia, Helter Skelter, Hyperspeed, and Ecythump. His time at Plastic opened doors to large-scale events like the Transmission series at the Sydney Sports Centre and Australia’s first Annual Utopia Electronic Music Festival.

A decade spent in Singapore further shaped his musical repertoire. Here, he held residencies at The Butter Factory, The Powder Room and Tanjong Beach Club, while also playing at one-off parties at The W Hotel, Canvas, and Zouk’s Velvet Underground.

Now residing in the vibrant scene of Hong Kong, Teng continues to make his mark. He has played at various venues, including 宀 Club, Acadana, Ping Pong and Soho House. While also appearing at festivals such as Midori, Shi Fu Miz, and Clockenflap. Across on the mainland he’s had the opportunity to dj at System (Shanghai) , Riff (Changsha), Dada (Beijing) and Pools (Dali).

Over the course of his career he’s held radio residences at Rhythm Fm (Sydney), Lush Fm (Singapore), FM Belowground (Hong Kong) and guest spots at CCR (Changsha) and BYYB (Shanghai).

Teng’s deep understanding of rhythm and his ability to adapt to the crowd ensure that his musical journey is anything but ordinary.
