Listen "Nursing: a new graduates experience"
Episode Synopsis
Today we chat with Gemma Carroll about her experiences of going through uni, the process to get a grad position in a hospital and how she has found the journey. She talks about the stress of uni, the application of trying to find a graduate hospital position but also how she is enjoying nursing. We discuss boundaries she has set herself. The pathway she has chosen to follow since the graduate program finished and how she cares for herself working full time in a nursing role. This is a great chat and one that opened my eyes to how young nurses are looking at the profession of nursing and how times really have changed in how they view nursing life compared to how I viewed nursing life when I started back in the 80’s.
