Barry Avrich is one the most accomplished filmmakers in Canada. His works include ‘The Tempest’ with Christopher Plummer, ‘Oscar Peterson: Black + White, a multi award winning biography, ‘The Last Mogul” about Hollywood mogul Lew Wasserman, ‘Satisfaction’, the story of Rolling Stones promoter and Torontonian Michael Cohl, ‘The Rocket’ which examines the life of NHL Hall of Famer Rocket Richard, ‘Off The Record’, a documentary featuring David Foster and more. Avrich also directed a series of Stratford productions for film, raised more than $6 million for a theatre at Sick Kids Hospital and authored 5 books including his memoir ‘Moguls, Monsters and Madmen. Stay tuned for a look at his fascinating life.
