Listen "A TalkTo-Go with Della Larsen | Episode 44"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome back to another episode of Talks To-Go! Jill and George talk with our next special guest, Della Larsen. She was a kindergarten teacher in the Boston Public Schools for 35 years. In 2020, she retired to grow her educational resource company, where she designed, created and sold learning materials. In April of this year, Della was diagnosed with ALS. She hopes to use the skills from both her teaching and business careers to bring awareness to the disease and educate the public about the need for funding and research. Her dad, John Mannion, passed away in 2016. He was a celebrated Rugby and Rowing athlete in Ireland before moving his family to the United States when Della was just a baby. Three days after arriving in America, he secured a job as a mechanic at Volkswagen and remained there until his retirement.
This is our first "Remembering Dad" episode where we sit down with our guest whose father has passed away to discuss and reminisce about their relationship together.
No reservations necessary. All TALKS are TO-GO.
