Talking with T-Bird: NaOnka Mixon
For everyone who wanted more T-Bird in the Survivor off-season, your wish has been granted as we once again start up the series “Talking with T-Bird.” Each episode, Rob Cesternino (@robcesternino) and Survivor: Africa‘s Teresa “T-Bird” Cooper (@tbirdcooper) will catch up with a former Survivor player and talk about anything and take listener questions. In the thirtieth episode of “Talking with T-Bird”, Rob and T-Bird’s guest is none other than NaOnka Mixon.
Rob and T-Bird speak with NaOnka Mixon, a castaway from Survivor: Nicaragua. On Survivor: Nicaragua, NaOnka started out on the younger La Flor tribe, where she managed to take control of the game and find a Hidden Immunity Idol despite being very brash and having confrontations with a few members of her tribe. She was then swapped over to the Espada tribe without most of her allies and thus, had a breakdown that nearly led her to quit the game. At the merge, she immediately took as much food as she could at the merge feast, making even more enemies and making it tougher on her allies. Throughout the merge, she played a strategic but aggressive game, before her eventual simultaneous quit with Kelly Shirin on Day 28. NaOnka made it 28 days, ultimately becoming the fourth member of the jury, coming in ninth place.
