Talking with T-Bird: Kelly Wiglesworth
For everyone who wanted more T-Bird in the Survivor off-season, your wish has been granted as we once again start up the series “Talking with T-Bird.” Each episode, Rob Cesternino (@robcesternino) and Survivor: Africa‘s Teresa “T-Bird” Cooper (@tbirdcooper) will catch up with a former Survivor player and talk about anything and take listener questions. In the thirty-third episode of “Talking with T-Bird”, Rob and T-Bird’s guest is none other than Kelly Wiglesworth.
Rob and T-Bird speak with Kelly Wiglesworth, a castaway from Survivor: Borneo and one of the 20 voted onto the cast by the fans for Survivor: Cambodia – Second Chance. On Survivor: Borneo, the first ever season, Kelly started out on the Tagi tribe, quickly putting herself in a good position, aligning with many on her tribe. She made it through the merge and then helped take out each Pagong tribe member one by one, winning four Individual Immunity challenges in the process. Kelly made it to the first ever Final Tribal Council, losing to Richard Hatch in a 4-3 vote.
15 years later, she was voted onto the cast of the show’s thirty-first season, Survivor: Cambodia – Second Chance, where she was placed on the Ta Keo tribe. Throughout the pre-merge, she laid low while having some very bad luck throughout two different tribe swaps, but managed to make it to the merge. Early in the post-merge, her strong challenge performance and likability turned her into a jury threat, and resulted in her blindside on day 24, leaving her as the third member of the jury in eleventh place.
