Often most pediatric education and training, including simulation teams and equipment, tends to be centered at children's hospitals and academic health centers, while the first place many pediatric patients present for emergency care is at community hospitals. To help get training resources into the hands of community pediatricians and emergency room physicians, the SimBox was born. Each SimBox includes "prepacked" ingredients that are available "off the shelf" to improve the preparedness skills in pediatric emergencies.
