Abigail Crompton has a art and psychology background, but more than 10 years ago started Third Drawer Down. Crompton started her venture by focusing on tea towels as art. She now supplies some of the leading galleries and museums in the world- her products, which are a collaboration with artists, can be seen at the Tate Gallery as well as locally in the NGV gift store. Crompton collaborated with the late Louise Bourgeois -one of the hankies created for an exhibition was embroidered with the words - I have been to hell and back and let me tell you it was wonderful.
